 I believe you already Made sure that the TV box is ON and connected to the TV through HDMI cord. Is that right?

Former connection (several) were replaced with one new connection cord from Cablevision

Do you still have the original Sony Remote control?

yes and have attempted with input button to go to settings, but the only options that it will allow are TV and BD

Ok Lets try this first.Turn the TV OFF

Unplug it from the wall socket. Make sure that the TV power cord is not connected to power.

Lets leave it like it for 3 mins and lets plug it back in and turn it back on.

Dear Philip, It was a pleasure helping you with your Sony issue today. Here is a summary of the resolution.
Issue identified :

HDMI input is not working

Solution Implemented :

Call customer

Assisted customer in performing a reset on the TV

Huld the up key on remote and powering on the TV and following the set up prompt 

Tested the TV boc plugged in to HDMI 3 and it is now working

Issue resolved
