no - unable to write to it - thoughjt it may be an excel prob - we can read but cannot write.
It is happening on box iPad and computer?
can change on PC - but cannot access on 3 ipads.

thought it was either an excel issue or maybe a telstra issue with internet to ipads.
Can we verify if you the accounts are the same? Please open the dropbox app on your iPad and tap Account at the bottom left. It will show you the email address that is currently signed in. Let me know if the account is correct

Please follow these steps on your iPad.
Press and hold the Home and Power button for 10-15 seconds until you see the Apple Logo. Once you see the Apple Logo release the 2 button. Wait for a few seconds until it is done rebooting. Let me know when the iPad is ready.

Wait for the iPad to finish rebooting and when it is ready please double tap the Home button as fast as you can to open the multi task screen. If it didnt appear try it again. Refer to the image below.
Once you have the small preview of the apps that you open I need you to swipe them all up to remove or close them.

Swipe the small window upwards to remove them from the screen. Do it one by one.

Now I need you to press the Home button to go back to the home screen. Open Dropbox App, open any file that you want to edit then try to edit them and see if it will work. Let me know what happen.

Thanks for waiting. May I know when did this problem started to happen. Is it a happening on all of the files that you have on dropbox?
only on the ipads....the PC is fine. Thats why I am thinking it is something to do with Excel or the carrier Telstra.
My PC has Office 365 - the ipads have excel that is supplied by Dropbox.

Can you please check if the dropbox app on your iPad is updated? Please open App Store and search for dropbox. It will shows your an update button if needs to be updated or an open button that means you are using the updated version.
IOS -12.1.4 have now updated butu there are 2 other apple software updates - do I need those?

No can do - my password didnt work with the itunes store

The latest version was released a day ago was 130.2. If you open App store and search for dropbox did it shows you an update or open button?
I cannot get in to itunes - I don't use it
will try again have found another password which is different from the apple one
When you go to the App store you dont need to enter a password unless you will download or update an App

Thanks for your response. You are using the latest version. Since the file is working before the update it seems that this might have been a glitch with the latest software. There's no problem with the file because it is working on your PC and you are using the same account. You will need to submit a report about the issue. Please include the exact error so that Dropbox will take a look at it and fix it asap.

how do you know I am using that version - 130.2 - I cannot find any version number associated with dropbox on my ipad.

If you go to the App store and your Dropbox have an Blue Open button it means that it is using the latest update
why doesn't dropbox just auto update as it has in the past - do you know - it is such
a drama to do anything with the apps store. But thanks I do not think u can assist me any more - appreciate yoiur assistance so far.

I hsave updated my ipad - but prob need to update dropbox...I actually refuse to give the apps store a credit card - in return they do not let me use the apps...so I will have to sort it....thanks so much will sign the stuff and hopefully will not need to be a nuisance again.
