Dear Charles, It was a pleasure helping you with your Corel issue today. Here is a summary of the resolution.
Issue identified :

Assistance in how to use Corel Photo Paint to / Crop an image and erase a background to transparent.

Solution Implemented :

Call customer / Remote access

Assisted in using the crop tool to select the desired work area and crop the Image.

Then use the Color transparecy tool to select a color range and make the opacity to 0. This makes the text left on the work space with all other background transparent 

Issue resolved
