How can I keep my screen from unexpectedly going blank. I have restarted the computer, checked all connections to ensure they are plugged in securely, attempt to wake up the screen by tapping keys on keyboard. The only way to get the screen back is to turn it off and back on....there is no loss of data.

Dear Nancy, It was a pleasure helping you with your Dell issue today. Here is a summary of the resolution.
Issue identified : computer screen keeps on turning off randomly
Solution Implemented : called cx and accessed her computer. check the power settings and restored it to defaults and still does the same problem. checked the monitor led status indicator ang it goes off also as soon as the monitor goes dark. told cx that the problem is the power supply board of the monitor and needs to be repaired. cx will have to decide if she will buy a new monitor. answer accepted.
