I have an I pod that I bought from Wal- Mart and I had different ones truing to help me learn how to use it. They tried but I could not get it, so I want to give it to my son. If you could or would give him a call, he has the I pod I would appreciate it, He will need to know how to clear it I believe I put 1928 in as my Pin # as for anything else I don't remember.

The question has already been asked, "How do I reset my Ipod"?  It has a password on it and i don't remember what it is.  It was set up with the extra security on it.

Hi Shirley,

Heres the steps to reset you ipod to factory default state.

  1. Open iTunes on your Mac or PC.
  2. Connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to your computer with the cable that came with your device.
  3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod when it appears in iTunes. 
  4. In the Summary panel, click Restore [device].
  5. Click Restore again to confirm. Then iTunes erases your device and installs the latest iOS or iPod software.
  6. After your device restores to factory settings, it restarts. Now you can set it up as new.
