Dear Yale, It was a pleasure helping you with your Dell issue today. Here is a summary of the resolution.
Issue identified :

Error " Your printer has experienced an unexpected configuration problem 0x8007007e" when printing

Solution Implemented :

  • Call customer / Remote access
  • Found an error with Windoows 10 app environtment
  • "This is a known issue" but only affect app environment in which case only edge for the customer
  • Advised customer to use Chrome instead Assisted in exprting edge bookmarks and favorite to Chrome
  • Tested Chrome printing and other Application
  • Issue resolved
