Hi Terri,
Were you able to open the excel document that you downloaded on your MAC?
You can send me a reply by entering your message in the box at the top then hit the send response button to send.
I am able to download it but not able to access it or work in it? Nothing happenings
I see. So you can open the document but you cannot edit it. Is that correct?
That is correct. I am using a software program to collect data and then it will download into a spreadsheet. To get it to download correctly I need to convert it to excel or google but one it is downloaded, I cannot work in it. It shows the data but I cannot edit it
The document might be on a read only status. Please try this steps and let me know if this will work.
Open the Finder and select the workbook you want to protect.
On the File menu , click Get Info.
On the General pane, clear the Locked check box.
ok I'll try
Okay I currently saved the spreadsheet in a thumbdrive. I have it open but do not see an option to select "get info" under file??
Yes click the file menu tab at the top left
I did that, and that was not an option "get info"??? I am working on a MacBook Pro
OK. Let me connect to your computer so that I can check it for you. Please click the link below then run/open the file. Click YES once you are prompted for me to connect to your MAC.
