May I know the exact version of your ipod? Is the ipod still turning on or is the battery completely dead?

My ipod is a nano, I think it is 6th generation. The battery shows that it is halfway charged. I attached it to my computer and it did not charge. I I attached it to a USB port in a wall and it did not charge. I still works. I can still listen to audiobooks on it. But eventually the battery will wear down as I use it.

Dear Barbara, It was a pleasure helping you with your Apple/Ipod issue today. Here is a summary of the resolution.
Issue identified : ipod device is not charging
Solution Implemented : called cx and told her to reset the ipod by pressing the power button for 10 secs and wait for the apple logo on the screen. cx perfromed the steps and advised her to plug in the ipod to the computer. ipod is now charging. problem solved.
