Hi Justin,

If you move the shif lever can you feel a huge play on it or is it wiggling compared to before?

Thanks    I am sure it is in the shifter and steering collum.  It has been messing up doors loch and unlock when turn  the key also.  It has a lot of play  in shifter on collum  when in reverse it seemed a little tighter , but it will not go up to park.  I think transmission is ok .   I was just wondering about  the electric components if any, but i think its worn out at the shifter.

Ok. First thing that you need to check shifter bolts that became loose over time. This is very common for this vehicle. You can locate the 2 bolts by following the brake pedal all the way up until you get to the steering column. Behind the steering column is the shifter that has 2 bolts. This 2 bolts might be loose reason why you are getting play on the shifter. All you need to do is to loose the bolts then put a loctite thread locker on it then tighten it back. Then check the issue again. Here's the picture of the bolts that I am referring.

Let me know if this helps.
