driver's side (front) cab window will not go up or down. frozen in 'up' position. No mechanical sounds as if not engaging. Passenger side cab window responds appropriately. Everything else seems to work fine. Is this a fuse problem or is the window motor shot. Thanks Toyota 2004 Tundra extended cab

Ok. Have you already checked the fuse for the power windows?

Customer

Yes, I checked the fuses.  The passenger side window works.  There was no sound -re motor in driver's side window when pressed., as stated before.

ok. if the Fuse is ok. then the problem would be the power windows motor or the switch. To test this issue further, rmove the door trim panel and ground the positive wire of the drivers side window to the any postitive terminal post and see if the motor will run and the window will respond. If not, then you have a problem with the wiring connection. test also the window switch using a meultimeter or voltmeter, you should atlesat get 11-12v on the test meter  when you press the window switch. if you are not getting the correct voltage, then you have a defective switch.

Let me know if this helps.
