First We'll have to Reformat or RESET th Kindle to Factory defaults.
Then SET it up back to your Amazon account so the books will download again.
May I know what Kindle version that is?
Don't know. What was written on the reverse is now worn away through usage. It's 17cm by 11.5 cm if that's of any use.

I'm Stuck. Kindle is asking for me to enter a Wi Fi Network and password. My phone company is TalkTalk so I tried logging in to TALKTALKFA8867 to no avail. What now? My apologies for being a 75yo thicko when it comes to computers and Kindles.
The Wifi Network is the name of your home wifi.
The password should be at the bottom of your Wifi box or Wifi router.
Are you on a computer now? your computer should have a copy of it.
I'm in. Found my TALKTALK card with the details I required.

I now have a blank white screen on my Kindle witha black top border with the word Register in the topleft hand side and theususl gubbins about battery and time on the right

regret nothing doing, screen is frozen.
Try Turning it off and back on
HOLD the ON and OFF button on your Kindle until it reboots to the Kindle logo
