May I know the exact model of the kindle device that you are using?

Ok. You have to reset the kindle to the factory default state and re-register it again using your amazon account for you to delete the password. Here's the procedure.

On the password screen enter the numbers 111333777 then hit ok or continue to proceed. Taht will reset the kindle to the factory default state and let you re-register and re-setup the device again.

Dear Chuck, It was a pleasure helping you with your Kindle issue today. Here is a summary of the resolution.
Issue identified : cx forgot the kindle password
Solution Implemented : called cx and provided steps to reset the kindle to factory defaults. The one that worked is "resetmykindle" password. We were able to restore the kindle after the troubleshooting. cx agreed to convert the remote support upgrade to phone support. problem solved.
