This is not the first time. I have been accessing Amazon Prime for several years.

It has not worked for several weeks. This is the first time I have looked into it.
I see. Can you try to open different app like youtube and see if you can stream videos.
I can. Netflix for instance works just fine.
I see. Can you try to uninstall the app and then install it again. Please try the following steps provided below. on how to uninstall the app.
Enter Edit Mode. While in edit mode, you can move the app up and down the length of the scrolling ribbon menu using the right and left direction buttons on the remote.
2. Delete unwanted apps. To delete an app, press up to select the X over an individual app tile. Select once the X is highlighted, press Enter to delete the app.
3. Confirm deletion. Once you chose to delete an app, you'll be asked, "Are you sure you want to delete?" Select Yes to confirm the deletion.
4. Exit Edit Mode. Once you've finished moving or deleting an app, you can exit the Edit Mode by selecting the Done button.
After removing the app then try to install it back again and then once it is done try to open the app again and see if that will work. I will be standing by for the result.
I am afraid that the references to LG TVs you have is newer than my TV. When I access "Edit" it tells me I cannot edit premium APs and there is no ribbon down the side of the screen. My TV is 7 years old and I guess doesn't work like later ones.

Advise me if this steps will work. Please do this steps using the original remote that came with the tv. I will be standing by for your response.
I did try. However, the latest instructions and pictures are of another type from what I have. The ribbon at the bottom are function keys and have nothing to do with the smart APs. The APs are arranged in boxes above the function keys and the remote that came with the TV is different and uses a cursor operating similarly to a wireless computer mouse.
