I have a Mini Countryman 2018 and I love it. But the remote has the curious, and REPEATING tendency to open the hatch back when the remote gets pushed a certain way in my pants pocket. NO OTHER REMOTE HAS EVER DONE THIS. I say that in my defense of someone saying, "well you must have put it in your pocket the wrong way" What I want to do is Disable or even DAMAGE that button on the remote so it CANNOT work.

Hi Frank,

Have you tried changing the battery of the remote? There are cases that if the battery is weak, it will sends weird signal to the door or to the trunk making it to open without you pushing any buttons on the remote.

Try to change the battery first and let me know the result.
