The latest is for a software fix where they go in and selectively erase and then download new software for the DIM as well as the NAVI

Unless you have a volvo scan tool and access to the volvo tech site for the new software, you cannot do it. You will have to take in to a dealer for this.

do independant shops typically have access to the tool as well as the codes and software? I'm two hours away from the nearest Volvo dealer, or four hours of drive time.
