I have been using Mediacom mail on my Mac mini, 2 iPhones and 2 iPads for years. Now none of these can receive mail. Mediacom tells me there is an Apple password I need to access mail on these devices. I have my Apple ID and the password to unlock the Mac mini. Neither of these work. Suggestions? I did delete the email account from the Mac mini and attempt to reinstall it. The system will not accept the password which Mediacom has provided. Again, they say I need an Apple password.

I still have the problem I had this morning.  Your suggestion was that the Mediacom servers are evidently not working.  I went back to Mediacom and the person who responded said that my problem was coming from all five of my devices trying to sync and when there was any kind of a problem the multiple attempts at syncing would cause Mediacom to lock out all devices.  He suggested I shut down all devices and then reopen them one at a time, changing the sync instructions from push to fetch manually using a new password he provided.  This worked for the Iphones and IPads.  The Mac will not allow me to open an account.  It will not accept the password that works on the mobile devices.  Mediacom says it should and if it does not, it is a problem within the Apple Mac Mail app.  If you have suggestions, let me know.  I am now looking for Apple Mac Mail expertise.

Dear Keith, It was a pleasure helping you with your Apple issue today. Here is a summary of the resolution.
Issue identified :

Email not working on all apple devices

Solution Implemented :

Call customer Tested email directly using safari and webmail webstie and it was working fine.

Change the password and still geting incorrect password on mail apps.

Advised customer of a possible server issue that normally resolve in few days

Call customer again and customer confirmed it is working ok now and said could have been password to be coordinated fine

Issue resolved
