Are you still there Tommy? Lets try basic troubleshooting steps. 

  1. Disconnect the negative connector on your battery and wait for 5 minutes to connect it back again.
  2. Then put the ignition to on position but do not start the engine the put it to off 5 times and then start it after that.
  3. Then let the car running for 15 minutes and see if you will still having the same issue.

This started with a rear colision about three months past have been driveing ever since without over drive no light when O D button is pressed ,also cannot acess gear box with computer,

Thank you for your response. Try the basic steps I provided earlier and advise me what will be the result. If still the same issue will occur there is a big possibility that the overdrive solenoid circuit or a faulty temp sensor. Or it might be a shorted Switch button.

Ihave already  disconected battrie and re connected  and done the switch on and off procedure a fue times already,

I have already changed the gear selector plate and oil preasure switch that I know is in good working order when i changed the oil,

I see. Have the overdrive solenoid circuit check see if its still good. Or have it scan to see if you will be getting error code. Use OBD 2 scanner.
