I have a red light flashing on the 3 cordless units of XDECT 8155+2. I can get the light to stay on by following the menu but it reverts to flashing inside a minute. The phone and base both show mail but pressing the message button gives the answer "no message". In addition friends are telling me that they do not get my recorded message and I obviously not aware of this when I am not home. This problem has only occurred since NBN was installed and a new Telstra modem connected. Can you advise where I should go with this??

Hi McFarlane,

Can you tr y to press the FIND button on the base station for 5 seconds and see if the blinking light will disappear.

Here's another troubelshooting. 

With the phone in standby, open the menu and select Global Setup; select VMWI Reset, then select Yes.

That should turn off the blinking light indicator.

Hi Elixir. I ahve just come back to the computer and found your messages. Thank you for responding.

Resetting the Global set up as per your instruction stopped the light flashing but it was now on permanently. I phoned from my mobile and let it ring out but the base unit did not give me an opportuunity to leave a message. The mail or message indication on all handsets and the base unit was still showing a message.  However pressing the message play button gave the answer "No message"

All phones are now flashing again so we have got no where.

Pressing the FIND button for 5 seconds did not stop the light flashing.

Do you think the problem is a Uniden one or should I contact my service provider (Telstra in Australia)

Hi McFarlane.

Seems like your phone provider's voice mail system is activated in your line and you have a message there that you need to listen delete. If you know how to access your phone provider's voice mail service then please do so. Listen to all messages and delete them right away. That should make the light indicator go away on your phone. 

If you wish to use the answering machine of the Unider phone system in the future then you need to turn it on by pressing the ANSWER ON/OFF button on the base station. It will announce you is the answering system is on or off, so make sure it will say answering system/machine on.
