Try a hard reset, this is done by pressing Menu then # XXXXX 193 Black Start. You have to do this entire sequence in about 3 seconds. It will come up and say Select Country (USA). Press OK and then it should hard reset. If this doesn't make the issue go away,

then verify that there are no scraps of paper lodged internally along the paper path. If none of this helps, then most likely your transfer belt has to be replaced.

Also. you can try:

menu > ID Copy > Left > Right > Menu > Black Start

Pressing the buttons in this sequence will get you into Tech Mode, the same sequence can be used to get you out, or I believe a power cycle will also do that.

Once in Tech Mode, your menu options will change. The option I want you to try is Clear All Mem.

This will clear internal counters, which is the only thing I can think of that would bring up an intermittent Transfer Belt Error. This is just a shot, but if it doesn't clear the message, then you probably need to replace the transfer belt.

"Try a hard reset, this is done by pressing Menu then # XXXXX 193 Black Start. "

How is this done (no those buttons).

Tech menu clearing did not help, transfer belt already changed to new one , no help.

Sounds  if there is a resistor blown out in the unit  it blows resetting the transfer counter.

The Transfer Belt error is because it is not correctly installed or it is defective,if so it need replacing.

You can Pull out of the Drum Unit, open front door and take out the whole assembly

Then you can look on the Transfer Belt, You can pull it out,
CAUTION: it is difficult to get it back into position again

I have done it also many times, no help for error.

I told something of a resistor, where is that located.

When I read the transfer belt count value 0 comes in display.
