Because I logged in with a different-than-normal computer, I now seem to have two facebook accounts. One has my picture and 160 friends, most of which instantly became non-friends although they still show. The other, which is now dominant, has no picture and 18 friends (which are duplicated on the other list). I want to have only the one account with my picture and lose the other one.

May I have your email address connected to the new facebook account?

Customer

My email address is d**k@gmail.com.  A few years ago my Facebook account was hacked briefly.  An old classmate of mine pretty much chased him away and the problem disappeared for a few years, but Facebook won't acknowledge my email address although I've used it without incidence until three months ago when three friends received strange advertisements from my name.  I found out about it right away and changed my password to a much more obscure one.  There were no incidences until on or about July 14th when I took my Macbook Pro out of town and tried to log into Facebook.  I wasn't successful and I just let it go rather than mess it up worse.  I use an iMac computer for most things.  But I always get emails on d**k@gmail.com.  My Facebook accounts use my cell phone number ***-***-**** .  Whenever you see my name on Facebook without a picture that's the account I want to eliminate.  All my posts, friends, etc are associated with my account that has my picture.

Good  morning Charles.  I have no idea as to how much you've been able to look into my Facebook problem, but I wondered if you are feeling hopeful at this point or mostly frustrated.  Or is it too soon to say?

Can you log into the new facebook account on your end, then grant me approval login.  You will get a notification that login approval is needed

Customer

I tried to log in to Facebook and saw a notice that there was a login attempt from a previously unknown source and asked, "was it me".  I answered "yes" and was allowed in.  Is this the response you were looking for?

Is there anything else that I can help you with today?

Posted

But I have no way to log into just one or the other.  If I get the one with the picture it seems to be within the new one.
