Hello Teresa
How are you doing? The average cost for a Toyota Prius head gasket replacement is between $1,815 and $2,185. Labor costs are estimated between $1,358 and $1,713 while parts are priced between $457 and $472. Regarding the consumer reports it's not bad to have a 4/5 rating. Toyotas are reliable cars plus the availability of parts and it's cost is reasonable enough. Hope this helps. Is there anything else that I can add or help you with Teresa? I'll be standing by for your response.
Thank you
Relly

Hi Teresa
Hope everything is well. In addition to my previous response. Even if it has such mileage as long that the engine is not abused there's no need for head gasket replacement. As long as there was no history of overheating then you'll be good. Hope this helps.
I'll be standing by for your response.
Thank you

Yes, thank you. I did purchase the vehicle yesterday. It is good to have the estimate since the actual Toyota person responded that it was too variable. The car has been in Boerne Texas the whole time and serviced at regular intervals per the CarFax report. I also declined the extended warranty which would have been an additional $4000 for the basic plan! My previous 3 Toyotas have all gone over 300,000 miles with original engine and transmission. I hope this one does the same but it is my first hybrid vehicle so I'm a little worried.
By the way Teresa after you clicked on the Accept Answer button you can just put zero on the tip if you don't want to and click on Problem Solved.
Thank you very much and have a great day!
