Hi Relly
Yes. Please post the response.
Hello Michael
How are you doing? May I ask if you feel that the engine is overheating or being sluggish.
Relly
Its not overheating or sluggish
The fan stil ran
The temp guage stopped working adn the AC wont work.
Check engine light came, so i had the local parts store see what the code was.
They said it is the Temp Sensor
Great... yes it is safe to drive. Those sensors are interconnected but worry not about the temp sensor for it only indicates your engine temperature. You can drive it til you get those parts replaced. Have you tried resetting the car? Try to remove the negative battery connector and let it sit for 5 minutes before reconnecting it.
There's a possibility that a soft reset can do the trick. But if it doesn't then you will have to replace the temp sensor and you'll be good.
We havent tried resetting it. I'll give it a try, but will replace the sensor too.
Great... but regards if you can drive it, yes it safe but be cautious and get a good feel on the engine if it overheats. But since the fan still kicks in then you are good. It's just the temp monitor will not work plus the ac. Is there anything else I can help you with Michael?
I think that answers all of my questions. Thank you for your expertise.
