The parking failed light turned on so I checked the fuses at the front and back one by one. 3 were burnt out, but the car worked fine, just the parking light. This morning I started the car and the dash wouldn't turn on, but the car worked. On the way to the mechanic the car completely stopped on the highway. he radio works, the key fob works but nothing else works and car won't start. Does checking the fuses on a BMW by pulling them out damage the vehicle? Or what could be the issue? It is a 2009 X5 470. The mechanic checked many things and couldn't find the issue.

Hello Catherine

Hope you are well. As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you remove the negative battery connector of the vehicle and let it sit for 10 minutes or more before reconnecting it. Resetting it may resolve the issue. Hope this helps. I'll be standing by for your response.

Thank you

Hello. Thank you for your response. We were actually able to get it up and running again. Turns out it was one of the relays. Thanks again.
