I have just purchased the phone it will ring ok but I can't  get messages i know this because i put a call to my phone from my mobile and left a message but I couldn't get it and how do I know that I have a message as the red light keeps blinking all the time on the top of the phone.

Thank you for your response. Please try the following steps provided below to stop the red flashing light on your handset phone.

  1. Go to the Menu.
  2. Then look for the Advance Set up.
  3. Look for reset VMWI menu.
  4. To confirm it select YES.

 Nice! Once you have a message it will start Blinked again it means you have a message.

  1. Press the "Menu" key on your Uniden handset. Scroll through the menu until you locate the voicemail icon. On most phone models the voicemail feature is shaped as an envelope.

  2. Press the "Select" key to access the feature. Wait for the phone to dial your voicemail number.

  3. Enter your password when prompted to do so. Wait for your voicemail menu to play.

  4. Follow the prompts to check your messages. Disconnect the call to exit the voicemail system.

I dont have a voicemail icon. I dont go through a provider i just use the feature on the phond

Try the following steps below to record your personal greetings.

1. Access the Answering Setup menu and select Record Greeting.
2.
Press MENU/OK, a message displays, To Start, Press Ok. Press MENU/OK. Wait until
the system prompts, “
Record greeting”, before speaking.
3.
Press MENU/OK to stop recording. The system plays back your new greeting.
4.
To keep this greeting, press END/CLEAR.

Then once your done try ro call your number then wait for the voicemail then try to leave a message. Advise me what will be the result. I will be standing by for your response.

We are getting disconnected Coleen I believe there is an issue with my Line. The three figures on your base phone those are Picture Keys or Speed dial. If you have saved a numbers on your speed dial those pictures represent numbers you saved from 1 to 3. When you press that it will dial the saved number. If you want to use that you can use the steps provided below for your reference.

1. With the phone in standby, press PHONEBOOK and select the option Speed Dial. The
speed dial numbers correspond to the numbers (0 through 9) on the twelve key dial
pad.
2. Select any number, depending on which key you want that particular contact number
to correspond to, and press MENU/OK.
3. The options, Registration and Delete, display on the LCD.
4. Select the option, Registration and press MENU/OK.
5. Select the option, Home and press MENU/OK The phonebook for the handset and will
display.
6. Select the relevant phonebook and choose the desired contact number. Press MENU/
OK to review the number. Press MENU/OK again to save the entry.
• Each speed dial number can be assigned to only one entry.
• If the speed dial number is already assigned, the phone shows the name of the entry
assigned to the number. If you want to change it, select the number, and the phone
overwrites the exisiting assignment.

Hi Coleen,

If you still having issues with the red light keep flashing please do the steps again provided below.

1. Access the Answering Setup menu and select Record Greeting.

Hi Ramy. My red light keeps flashing. I go through the steps as you suggested the light goes out but next morning the red light is flashing again eventhough I have no messages. It is confusing as I am not sure if I have a message or not. Thank you. Coleen.

I see. Try to unplugged the power cord from the base phone for 1 minute and then plug it back in again. If still doing the flashing red light do the steps again.
