Apparently Facebook has detected that another device is logged in Facebook - check your phone, tablet, desktop, laptop.. some device IS logged on.  Just go there, check your notifications, and if you see an "unknown device" logged in facebook that need your approval, go ahead and approve it, then you should be able to get in.

I've checked my phone, laptop, pc, old phone and device I can think and they are all logged out

Maybe its time to change your password. See if you are able to change your password.

I can change my password but it still shows me the same message, I'll attach a screenshot of what it said when I've just tried to log in now. I think those log ins are all me because the android was me trying my old phone last night. It lets me put my email and password in as if I'm logging in but it doesn't let me access my account and says i need to be approved, very confused

Customer

But all my devices and the ones listed there, I am not logged into them and they show the same message as my phone does when I try to log in so it's like I'm stuck

Okay, so I understand that you were trying to access Facebook on your Android?

Alternatively, get on your tablet or desktop or laptop and try this facebook.com/login/identify

It should release the lock.

Customer

yes, I did last night, that is my old phone, but whenI tried to log in, it said the session has expired and logged me out

Posted
Customer

I've already tried the login identifier and I've just tried it again and it made me change the password but it has just shown me the same message again saying they need to check its me and giving me the same option again to approve from another device

Hmm..  so you are logged out of all devices?  Can you log in any of those devices successfully or are you truly locked out?

My last resort recommendation is www.facebook.com/hacked

Posted
Customer

yes logged out of all devices, and if I try to log in on any, it justs the same message

Posted
Customer

I will try the hacked link

Posted
Customer

The hacked link doesn't work either, asks me to put my password in and then just shows that same message again saying I need to aprove my log in, I don't understand because I literally can't aprove my log in because I have been logged out of all devices

Im interested in this "Unknown" desktop at 10:44... was that you?

Posted
Customer

I know! It doesn't make sense. I'm not 100% sure but I think it was possibly me because I did try a desktop but not sure if it was that time, but it must have been

Well, the only way I can think of is check all your BROWSERS in all platforms, maybe one is logged on?   You may say youre not on facebook, but maybe one browser is still running in background?  Or have you absolutely quit all browsers?

I have double checked everything and I am not logged in anywhere, the only one is an old laptop of mine, it turns on but is broken so I can't see the internet to see if it's logged in but I doubt it will be because it is really old. I know on Tuesday when all this started, I think i tried to do the identity thing and I think I sent a picture of my id because it gave me that option but I didn't get any confirmation or anything so not sure if that even worked properly!

Oh man.  Give me time to research this further.   but I dont see any options... but Im not giving up!

Posted
Customer

Thank you, I really appreciate it, I don't want to do this yet, but as a last resort, is there any way to shut down your facebook account without being logged in?

I'm trying to remember everything that happened when this problem started. I was already logged in on my phone and I was trying to log in on my laptop and it did a security check and I got in on my laptop so it was all fine but then, from what I remeber, I tried to edit my business page on facebook but it was stopping saying 'we need to confirm it's you before you edit this page'. I think this is possibly when I sent my id but like I said, I didn't get any sort of conformation. I think it was after this when they sent me a code but they said I'd put it in wrong. They sent a few more and each time kept saying I was putting in wrong, I'm pretty sure they were correct! This is when it said 'try again later' and from this point on I can't log in anywhere without it flashing up with this message about confirming from another device. Do you think this sounds like facebook think it's someone else (not me) trying to get into my own facebook because I supposedly got the codes wrong? Apologies for the long message, I'm trying to remember every detail to help you :)

YEah. keep doing what oyure doing - trying to remember everything so we can help you better ;)  It could be someone is trying to get in your facebook = thats why i suggested changing passwords.

Customer

I've changed my password a few times but that hasn't made a difference and when I try and report myself being hacked it shows the same message. I wonder if because they said I kept getting the codes wrong, they have sort of locked me out

Posted

If yyou got the code wrong, they would tell you.

Posted
Customer

they did tell me i got it wrong, so they sent me another one and when i typed that one, they said it was wrong too and this repeated a few times. It was after this when it said, 'try again later' because i'd apparently done the wrong code so many times and now it's the problem where it won't approve me at all

Ouch.  I'd wait between tries. Im so sorry this is happening to you.  Still not having any luck :(

Posted
Customer

I appreciate the help! Is there any way to report to facebook that I'm sort of locked out the account? Because I sent them my id (atleast I think I did but not sure if it really worked) could they be in the process of verifying that?

Posted
Customer

Should I not try and log in for a few days and see what heppens?
