Can someone help me to get back into my Facebook account? I have 2FA set up, but do not remember how to do it, nor which method I chose. I can get as far as creating new password, but cannot get past this 2FA problem. I posed this question yesterday, but no one took it to answer. DO I need to pay more?

Sometimes on your phone when you try to log in, try to log in and then there should be a have trouble signing in button.  Click that button and then Facebook should allow you to upload a copy of your id to facebook so that they can turn off 2 step verification.

NONE of FB's methods for getting back in worked. I tried that license thing a few days ago, and it would not accept it. Possibly because the account was not "locked" for a TOS violation?

Seriously I have tried everything I could find in FB's "help" system. The way to use to iPhone method to get in... it tells me it sent an SMS to my phone, it may "take a while." I waited 2 days. N SMS.

I wonder if that form would work better if "I can't access my account" were tickd instead of the option orginally selected? Obviously they do not read the explanation, but respond by bot to the checked item...

Sadly, another dead end. If I click "I can't access my account" it only offers links to the same help paes that do not work, rather than accepting the form.

Im still working on it as well.  Facebook used to have the option of uploading id to turn off step step verification, looks like they have deleted this option.

It is easier for hackers to get in, than for account holders. I wonder if you could start a whole side business, starting with some sort of official relationship to the company that gives you "super-mod" power to help people.

I even tried to use a phone to try to see if Facebook would let me upload id and just went to a blank page as if that option don't exists anymore.

Yes, I also literally encountered a Page Not Found when using a link from one of their myriad, circuitous rabbit-holes of "help."

Wow, hoping for such a miracle. I actually mailed them a typed letter on paper on Friday. I spoke of the value I place on FB, and how difficult it is to find solutions in the Help pages. As for a shared screen time, any time today (Monday) should be good, so you tell me and I will make ready. Thanks!

I have tried to get the 2step verification turned off.  Seems Facebook is backed up and not taking my requests.  Please allow me a few more days to try to get this resolved.

FYI, I figured it out myself. I feel pretty stupid. I had been looking for 2FA only on mobile devices... totally forgot that it had been set up on my DESKTOP computer. Also, the 2FA (when I found it) was labeled with my company (employer's) name, and I was looking for 2FA for my personal name. Live and Learn. You and ExpertHelp got some of my money and I learned not to ever give up on my own ability to puzzle things through. Happy December!
