how to take passcode off family settings

I would like to verify your issue. Do you know the passcode and you dont know how to remove it or you forgot the Family passcode that you have set on your xbox console?

You forgot the passcode right? If you forgot the Family passcode what you can do is to reset it to defaults. Please follow the steps below.

1. Call to Microsoft at 1- ***-***-**** or 1-800-4MY-XBOX
2. On your Xbox 360 go to System Settings > Console settings > System
   info
3. Give your console serial number (First line on top)
4. Scroll down to view all about your system info
5. They give your special last four buttons (which are placed in #): LT RT
   X Y LB RB # # # #
6. Use combination in system info and you will see "reset factory defaults"
