does anyone know why, when adding an outlook mail item component to a form in Delphi, the Outlook8 unit is automatically added to the forms uses clause. I want to use outlook2000, is there a way to make the outlook200.pas file the default ? many thanks Mark Wheeler

The file outlook8.pas contains the source for the outlook component you are using. That file must be in the uses list for the program to work. The component should just use the default outlook application on your system. Also I don't think there is an outlook2000.pas file. Hope this helps, and is not too late, Did.
