SEO and brand exposure is very important but it is a game for the long run, you need patience.
For SEO and increased brand awareness submit to directories like http://www.yahoo.com http://botw.org/
Submit articles to http://www.goarticles.com or http://ww.smuze.com and press releases to http://www.pr-inside.com or http://www.prweb.com
Also using social sites like http://www.twitter.com or www.squidoo.com can assist your efforts.
www.squidoo.com has a lot of benefits if you put some effort into it.
Also - always use an Analytic tool to see where your visitors are coming from, and try to strengthen those channels.
1 last thing, check the backlinks of your competitors using backlink checkers, to get ideas for incoming links.
