I am seeing some intermittent funny stuff happening. I have following errors on iCarSoft:

Front SAM B163E13 U001988 B219116 B210C16 U103811 U103211 U001911 U103888

I am seeing following symptoms: Frequent, Intermittent 'Intelligent light system not operable' Right side indicator flashes quickly during application (but actual light flashes and works ok at normal speed)

I used to have a short circuit to ground on secondary air switchover valve also, but I have got that system deactivated to stop it raising an EML (a fix was never found)

How are you doing? Here are the list of possible fix on your Mercedes Benz

1. Front SAM -The SAM will need to be programmed in order to be able to communicate on the network of modules in the car. The dealer module scanner will be needed to do the programming or the module will not work correctly.

2. U001988 - Interior CAN communication has a malfunction. Bus OFF

3. B210C16 - The power supply is outside the valid range. The limit value for electrical voltage has not been attained.

And all of the other stuff will be corrected through programming. If you have a dealer near you please do let them reprogram or reset it. But you can try this trick. Please remove the negative battery connector and let it sit for 10 minutes or more and this may resolve the problem.

Oh interesting, I will try that.

Question from my side.. how can this start happening on its own eventually? The software hasn't been touched in this car.

I disconnected the battery earlier today for about 3 hours.

When I drive it next at night I'll feed back the result.

Regardless, I have a diagnostic booked at dealer in a few weeks.

Hi Relly,

I did take a short drive in the night several days ago and noticed the intelligent light system inoperable once.

I haven't checked for the other errors yet, I may do that today, I will keep you posted.

Otherwise I still have the car checked in for diagnostics at main dealer end of August.

Hi Relly,

I took a drive recently, and had similar issues and also checked the error codes which were similar as the ones in my first post, even after a DTC clear.

SAM_F, and Central Gateway are the culprits.
