Air conditioning problem with a 2007 yaris

May i know what problem are you encountering to your car AC?
When I have the a/c on full blast and @ the coldest point on the dial. My car had stalled @ an intersection. I had 2 red symbols pop up on the dash one was the battery and the other was the engine light/alternator. This incident happened last week.
I have had an alternator problem for the last year when it came to the a/c in the summer. Then it started to effect the heat for early fall. I have had it in the mechanic shop 3 times. And it’s been replaced/washed in those times.
Was the the alternator been replaced? Seems like the vehicle is not getting enough power from the battery reason why it stalls.
I took the car to my regular mechanic he tested the battery because the battery light had come on all by itself. It to to my memory was measuring @ 12 or 13 volts when it should be over 15 or more. I saw my regular mechanic back in late March 2019. He said that it’s the alternator and I should go back to have it checked. I went back to the mechanic that did the original job of the alternator and he did something and called me after to come back to pick it up only after 2 hours. What do you think he could have done in that time?
He might have did some repair on the alternator such as the carbon but that will not last long. It will take couple of months or more depends on how frequent you use the vehicle and the problem will goes back again. It is advisable to replace the whole thing rather than doing the repair. The battery light is the clear indicator that the vehicle is not getting enough juice from the battery which the alternator should generat thus the check engine light will come on as well.
I suggest replace the alternator and your problen will be solved.

Is their such as a new alternator or not and if so how much in Canadian dollars?
Yes, can buy a new alternator at local shop like autozone or online at ebay. The cost for that is ranging from 80-90 canadian dollars. Installation is somewhere between 80-100 canadian dollar for a 2-3hour job.

I was told that the alternator had a lifetime warranty, but however I didn’t ask for a brand new one either. If it is under warranty how long is it usually?
If the alternator was repaired by the local shop then it will be the shop's warranty. Depends on the shop owner how many months of warranty they give to the customers. If the alternator was replaced and bought from a local store, then it will be a store warranty and usually they offer 6-12 months warranty.
When the alternator is fixed. Will The battery need to be replaced too?
The reason why you are getting a bad voltage reading on the battery is bacause the alternator is not supplying enough power to charge it. I think your battery is good and usually the battery life is 3 to 5 years depends on the usage of the vehicle as well.

Do you have some sense in knowing when these alternators go and are fixed. How long they last? And when should you replace the vehicle?
The lifespan of the alternator depends on the usage of the vehicle. If your vehicle is your daily commuter and say youve been using it for 5-8 hours a day then most likely the alternator is getting enough load. In my case, my alternator was replace after 10 years of using the vehicle. I drive it going to work for an hour or two then back to the house. You cannot easily tell when these parts are going to break. I know a friend who have a brand new vehicle then after 2 years the alternator has been replaced because it suddenly became defective.

Issue identified : cx has AC problem on her vehicle
Solution Implemented : called cx and found out that vehicle is stalling when AC is in full blast. cx also getting battery light indicator and check engine light on. Told cx that the problem is the alternator not supplying enough power to the vehicle reason that the vehicle is stalling and the battery light and checl engine light is on. cx will bring the vehicle back to the repair shop to have the alternator checked or replaced with a brand new one. Answer accepted.
