Hello, Have a 2001 Camry XLE V6 with 109000 miles on it. The car is in near new condition, but I'm experiencing a hunting side to side at highway speeds in the steering, (feels like the front end being blown around in the wind). The tires are like new and have no abnormal ware and otherwise the steering feels tight and smooth as it should. Wondering if this is a common problem with Camrys and what needs to be checked?

Thanks, Don

Hello Don

Hope everything is well. May I ask when was the last time you have taken it in for a wheel alignment? I am suspecting that there's a worn out part underneath like tie rod ends, ball joints or worn out bushings. Please take it to a reputable shop and have it lifted to check underneath. This is not normal on any cars and can be dangerous specially when you are cruising on highways.

Hope this helps and please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.

Thank you

Relly

No, I have not had the alignment checked yet. I will do so.
