Good day Rodger!

How are you doing? You don't need to reprogram the computer just as long as the transmission is stock. Hope this helps. Is there anything else I can help you with? I'll be standing by for your response.

Thank you and have a great day!

Good day Rodger!

Nice to hear back from you. There are two transmission for this vehicle. One is FWD and the other is AWD. If you are on a budget, I strongly suggest that you get one in a yard with a little mileage. You can easily determine if it's a FWD or AWD. The AWD has a propeller shaft going to the rear  while the FWD has none. I worked and owned an automotive shop before by the way.

Is there anything else I can add Rodger? I'll be standing by for your response. Thank you and have a good one!

Which type of transmissions require relearn or reprogramming of the installation? I was led to believe this is neccessary through the dealer.

Hi Rodger

No transmission requires relearning but the TCM may. If the transmission control module is new then you may have no problem installing it. But if it came from a yard then there's a possibility that it may require resetting by an OBD or scan tool then you'll be good. Hope this helps. Anything else I can add or help you with Rodger. I'll be standing by for your response.

Thank you
