What is ExpertHelp?
ExpertHelp is a highly effective question and answer site focused on facilitating accurate, complete, and timely answers to your important questions. Our unique process allows you to specify a monetary incentive, motivating Experts to post accurate, complete, and timely answers to that question.
How much does it cost to use the service?
It costs nothing to signup and comment on questions and answers. When you submit your question you tell us how much you want to pay and if you aren't completely satisfied, we'll refund your money!.
What if I'm not happy with any of my answers?
If you are not satisfied with any of the answers you receive, you don't have to pay for them. It's that simple!
What are tokens?
Tokens are exchange units, used instead of cash, to pay Experts for accurate, complete, and timely answers to your questions. We use tokens instead of money to make it easier for members in different countries and currencies to use the site. Currently 1 Token is equal to 1 US Dollar.
What are points and what are they for?
Members earn points by performing activities that make the service useful and beneficial for everyone. Conversely, points are removed from members if they abuse the service, such as by spamming other members or posting inappropriate content. A member's score is the sum of all points they have earned since they joined the service. A member's account may be removed if their score falls below 0. This helps us deliver the highest quality service possible.
What is the difference between tokens and points?
Tokens are used as a monetary incentive for Experts to post answers to your questions.
Points are awarded to (or taken from) members who perform specific activities or who meet certain conditions. The purpose of reputation points is to promote positive behaviors and outcomes as well as gauge the performance of both Inquirers and Experts.
Why should I pay for an answer when I can post questions for free on other forums?
ExpertHelp attracts Experts who are incented to provide accurate and complete answers to your questions. Rather than taking a chance that your question might be answered on other forum sites and hoping it is right, you can expect a fast, accurate, and complete answer from one of our Experts.
Can anyone answer questions?
Only Experts can answer questions. If you are interested in becoming an Expert, login to your account an click on the Become an Expert link under quick links.
How can I be notified of newly asked questions?
You can subscribe to a RSS listing of unanswered questions. We are working on creating an email and SMS notification system where you can receive alerts when questions are posted with specific tags.
How do I upload my photo to my profile?
We use the free Gravatar service for our member's avatars. The email address you specify when you register is used by Gravatar to display your avatar.
If you choose not to a setup a free Gravatar, a standard avatar will be displayed instead.
