Good morning
could the engine failsafe mode be caused by a low amount of transmission fluid??
Morning Daniel
How are you doing? Can you access the car at the moment? As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you remove the negative battery connector and let it sit for 5 minutes before reconnecting it. This will reset the system and can get it back to it's normal operation.
Relly
May I know the exact year and model of your Jaguar as well
Relly, I am not with the car at the present time (didnt want to drive it with the failsafe mode message on). 1999 XK8
I see... First, try removing the negative battery connector and let it sit for 5 minutes before reconnecting it. This will reset the system and can get it back to it's normal operating state. If the light is still on, I suggest that you take it in to the nearest auto repair shop for engine scanning. OBD II readers will know the fault code, by then you will know what part you need to replace. It can be any sensor in the engine and OBD II scanner can narrow down the fault
could low fluids be the cause??
Low fluid could be the cause as well Daniel. But if the fluids are good, I strongly suggest to take it in for engine scan
ok, thanks for the advice Relly
