2011 Genesis Sedan; road noise. 105 k miles. Sounds like the car has knobbly snow tires mounted. Noise persists thorough all gears and speeds. most noticeable when coming to a stop. Does not seem to make any difference in noise level whether brakes are engaged or not. It is a low roar at highway speeds.

Hello Bryan

How are you doing? May I ask when was the last time you replaced the transmission fluid? It can be low on transmission fluid or the fluid is burnt which can cause this noise. Do you feel a vibration on the steering wheel? This sound can be coming from a worn out wheel bearing which will require replacement. Is there any history of drive shaft propeller replacement? A worn out drive shaft can make this noise as well and I strongly suggest that you have it looked at physically by a reputable mechanic. Once these parts are checked and replaced you'll be good.

Hope this helps. I'll be standing by for your response. Thank you

Hi Relly, Just bought the car so don't know if the fluids have been changed with any regularity. Have an appt tomorrow morning to have the transmission flushed and full synthetic put in. We'll see if that solves it. Otherwise will need to look at the drive shaft. No vibration in the steering wheel.

Hello Bryan... good to hear back from you. Nice to know that there's no vibration in the steering wheel. That will lessen our worries of possible worn out parts.  The driveshaft must be looked at because it's dangerous if it breaks down while driving. Is there anything else I can add or help you with Bryan?

Yes indeed. It can be the differential Bryan. It may have a worn out bearing that needs to be replaced

Dear Bryan, It was a pleasure helping you with your HYUNDAI issue today. Here is a summary of the resolution.

Issue identified : Road noise on all speed
Solution Implemented : Chat with Bryan. It's a newly bought car and transmission fluid must be replaced for it can be one of the cause of the noise. Another thing to look at is the propeller/differential for the bearing can be worn which can cause the issue as well. Solution Accepted
If issue resurfaces : Advised to contact us at s**t@experthelp.com or call us on our support number ***-***-**** )

Relly, just to let you know: I had the transimission and the differential fluid changed today with full synthetic. Took care of the noise. They also rotated the tires so don't know what did the trick, but I'm happy.
