Hi, my 8-yr-old lab has a pink bump right on his eye. Not the lid. It looks rather like a wart . No local vet available until Tuesday . Should I leave it alone, or rinse with saline, or something else?

If the bump is right on his eye, I would have it checked. You can rinse with plain saline if you'd like. It won't hurt, but it probably won't do much to help. Eye issues unfortunately can get bad quickly. If it is an ulcer and you wait too long, it can cause further issues. If none of your local vets are available, I would try to see if maybe one in a neighboring town is.
If there is a Banfield near you, most of them are open 7 days a week.
I’m in rural AZ. I will drive the 90 miles to a veterinary hospital if that's what you recommend. Would an ulcer appear as a small pink bump, similar to a human wart? Is there an way I can send you a photo?
I am headed to Gilbert, AZ to the Animal Hospital there. This mail will not checked for approx 2 hours. Will let you know what they say
Thank you, Dr Lesley,
It IS an ulcer, but healing nicely. We were at the animal hospital from 5:30-9:30, so I stayed over and was unable to access this site from my phone.
But I’m home now and wanted to let you know.
