Hello! It is normal for puppies to retain a few baby teeth, most commonly the canine teeth. Usually we see that in small breed dogs, but sometimes we see it in larger breeds as well. If you are planning on having her spayed, they can be removed at the time of the surgery. If you don't plan on having her spayed, I would have them removed at her first dental cleaning procedure, unless they seem to be causing problems before that.

 

Having retained baby teeth is not life threatening by any means, but since they are usually very close to the adult teeth, tartar and bacteria can get stuck in between the two. This can cause some damage to the adult tooth eventually. So it would be beneficial to have them removed if they don't fall out on their own.

 

One thing you can do at home to hopefully help loosen the baby teeth (it may not help much depending on how deep the roots are), is to play light games of tug of war, just not too rough as to not hurt her neck, jaw, etc.

 Thank you will keep a eye on her baby teeth and yes she loves tug a war thank you , that helps alot and we plan on having her spayed if they don't fall out they will be removed then. Again thanks for your advice. I am good with this reply
