I have a 2009 Saturn Outlook with erratic dash vent operation. When car is first started defrost, dash and floor vents all work great ! After running 15-20 minutes all air flow stops even though blower motor is still running. I replaced the blend door actuator and passenger side temp door actuator, no change. I don't know what else to try beside digging into the hvac housing in the dash but that is not a quick-a-minute! Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you, Tom

Hi Tom! Thank you for choosing ExpertHelp.com. Before we proceed to other steps in resolving your issue. Lets do the other work around. Since you replace the door blend actuator can you try to remove the negative connection on your battery for about 5 minutes. And after that connect it back. Then I want you to place the igniton swith to on but do not start the engine 5 times and after that start the engine. Let it run for about 15 minutes and then try to see if this will resolve the issue. When your ready, please type your responses on this page and then click on the Blue Send Response button to post your response. I will be standing by for your response.

Hi Ramy,   Just checked my car after disconnecting the negative cable and cycling the key five times then running.

It seems to be better than what it was but not a 100%, I'll know more when I drive it to work in the morning.

I emailed support today to see what I can do to communicate with you from my computer at work instead of

when I get home. I'll be in touch sometime tomorrow,  Thank you much, Tom

Good morning Ramy,

No luck, was working fine when I first started the car then about half way to work (15 minutes or so) air flow is down to a trickle

no matter what mode I have it in. I keep checking the blower motor but that seems fine, you can here it running on all speeds.

Not sure where the air is going but not out of the vents. The only actuator I have not replaced is the driver side temp mode actuator

but that seems to be working fine, I don't know if that affects air flow or not ?  I just can't figure out what changes after the car get's

warmed up to cause this.    Thank you, Tom

Thank you for your response. Can you try the steps provided below.

Please follow the  procedure below exactly step by step:

  1. Turn key on - eng not running.
  2. Calibrate the mode actuators by simultaneously pushing the A/C and RECIRC buttons on the HVAC control module 3 times each, within 2 seconds of initial push.
  3. The A/C and RECIRC button LED's will flash while this calibration is taking place.
  4. The calibration will take anywhere between 10 to 30 seconds depending on battery voltage.
  5. The LEDs will quit flashing when the calibration is complete. Cycle the ignition off then back on and verify proper operation.

If the steps provided above will not work then it needs to be reprogrammed by the dealer or have it scan using a scanner tools. I will be standing by for your response.
