HI, I think I found the AC cable and power supply but not sure where to connect on the TV. THis is all due to having to get a new cable box from Comcast which is smaller than the first one I had. The old box was part of the TV connection and the new boxes do not have it.
Does the power supply look like this:
It's similar but on the bottom it says Panasonic AC Adaptor
Thats correct. That is the correct power adaptor. Just to clarify you want to know where to install/connect the power to the TV correct?
yes
Please give me a minute. I need to get a picture similar to the TV's inputs thanks. In the meantime you can check the back of the TV just in case. It should have a label that says AC in. Let me know if you find it.
I have the part that goes into the TV in the right place, I believe now it is the cord that goes from the adaptor to the outlet. I plugged it in and all I get is a snowy picture.
Are referring to a replacing only the cord instead of the entire AC adapter?
I think so. THe cord I have from the original set up says 3A 125v (I think it is 3A it is very hard to read) It fits in the adapter
Let me look for the correct cord that would fit the Adapter. Please give me a minute
The adapter needs a U.S. standard, 2-Pin Figure-8 type of cord which you can get from any electronic stores and including Walmart. The end of the cord should look like the picture below:
Please let me know if you have additional questions thanks.
THat is what my cord looks like. Guess it is a different issue. Thanks
You mentioned that the picture is snowy correct?
Yes
This is a different issue and not related to your question but I would gladly help you with this and provide you some info on whats the possible cause for this problem.
THat would be helplful
When you say snowy does it look like the picture below? Please provide me with a brief description or how the picture looks like so we could determine what is the cause of this Thanks.
It is all snow with no picture visible at all
Are there red blue green colored dots on the screen?
no it is all black and white snow
I think you are referring to this. Correct?
yes
I see. may I know if the TV is connected to any sources like Cable box, DVD, etc and which one are you trying to watch?
its connected to the cable box. there is a vcr but i don't use it
Can you describe to me what type of cable is connected from the cable box to the Tv please? Is it using an AV cable like the one below:
If youre using the red/white/yellow cable to connect the cable box to the TV, please use the VIDEO 1 IN at the back of the TV: Its the input jacks located at the left side of the TV where the AC Adaptor is plugged in as shown on the picture below. Please let me know if they are correctly in place.
Note that the input jacks at the back of the TV is color coded so please insert the cable to the input jack of the same color Yellow = yellow, Red = red, White = white. make sure they are inserted correctly and in the VIDEO 1 IN panel at the back of the TV. Let me know if they are properly connected this time. I will be waiting for your response Thanks
no it is the cable with the needle
This one?
yes
Thanks. Can you follow the correct configuration and connection on the picture below please: That cable should be properly connected on the input that says ANT at the back of the TV
Let me know if its properly connected already. Thanks
It will take awhile so I don't know when I will get back to you
Take your time. I will be standing by just message me soon as you have correctly connected the cable so I could give the next steps.
By the way what is your cable box provider please?
comcast
Thanks go ahead follow the connection on my previous message. I will be standing by for your reply once youre done. Thank you.
Hi Regina, I will be adding additional steps once you have properly connected the Cables and setup the TV. These next steps include selecting the right channel on your TV to connect the Comcast cable box. Please let me know if everythings okay already. Thanks
The most important part to check is to make sure that the cable box is connected to the Coax cable (the cable with the needle) wall outlet and to the power outlet and is turned ON.
The cable from the wall should be connected on the INPUT at the back of the box and another cable from the OUTPUT of the box to the tv's ANT input. this would ensure us that the box will get a signal from the provider.
On your Remote TV Remote (not the cable box remote) go to channel 03 or 04. One of this channel should connect the input to the Cable box. Once you see a picture, you can use the cable box Remote control to go through TV programs. I hope this helps.
Hi Regina, I'm here to do a follow up on this question. Have you tried the steps on my previous messages below and have you resolved the snowy picture problem already? Please let us know. Thanks
