Thanks for waiting. As a first step towards resolution, you would need to reset your device so that it will refresh the system files in it. To reset the device please follow the steps below.

  1. Reset the device by holding the sleep/wake button at the top right of the device and the home button at the bottom center of the face at the same time.

  2. Hold them both until you see the screen go black. In some cases, you may need to keep holding them even after the red power off slider appears. If it does, just keep holding it.

  3. Wait until the white Apple logo appears.

  4. When this happens, you can let go - the device is rebooting.

iDevice is basically a small computer. And though it doesn't look like your desktop or laptop, just like those devices, sometimes it needs to be restarted to fix problems

No I have done that several times but still won't allow me to open book

Thanks for your response. Please follow the steps below.

  • Double-press Home button, this will open multitasking bar
  • Find the Nook application by scrolling left and right
  • Press and hold the icon of the Nook application
  • Press the - button on the upper-left side of the Nook icon
  • Relaunch the Nook application

Please let me know what happen.

Ok I did that and tried again. It took me back to desktop again

Thanks for letting me know what happen. The next step that we will do is to delete the app and download it again.

To delete an App:

  • Press any application icon and keep it pressed for few seconds till icons start shaking
  • Shaking application icons will have cross X sign at top left part. Tap the cross sign of the Nook application.
  • You will get confirmation pop-up.
  • Tap Delete button to continue with removal

To Install Download and Install Nook:

  • Tap Apps Store
  • Tap Purchased at the Bottom
  • Look for the Nook Application
  • Tap to Download
  • It will ask you to enter your Apple ID password
  • After the Installation run the Nook application and check if the issue is resolved.

Great. I should've thought of that myself. Now that I've spent $45, can I use this site if it happens again? Or was this fee just for this question
