Dell had my computer reset to factory settings to get rid of a virus. I am attempting to restore my files from Carbonite and my online backup is restoring. The local backup was never an option.

Hi customer,

I would like verify the issue. You also want to restore your local back up aside from the carbonite, is that correct?

That is correct

Just to make sure I understood the question. I have Carbonite local backup to backup my computer 100%. Only the file folders and files from the online backup are restoring.

Thanks for the information.

I would like to perform a remote session on your computer so i can locate the files that were saved locally from your carbonite. Please let me know if you are ok with this. Thanks

remote logs:

opened carbonite lock icon
opened restore manager
restored files
set expectation that restoration will take a while since files that were backed up are many
