Hello,
Thank you for contacting us. My name is Umair and I am here to help you resolve your issues. I need a few minutes to prepare my customized answer. I'll be right back.
Thank you,
Umair M.
You need to reset your kindle in order to get it working again. To do this press the power switch for at least 20 seconds and release, this will RESET the device. Connect to mains and it should re-load. Please let know know how it goes. I will be waiting for your reply. Thank you.
I tried what you suggested and nothing happened. What do you mean by "Connect to mains".
The kindle is beginning to speak to me it says. "zero items, item 1 of 1". Them it said "turning off" then "page 1 of 3".
It hasn't ever talked to me before.

Then it said one item item 1 of 10. Also something about "collection" I didn't understand the other words.
Again your answer did not solve the problem.

Thank you for replying. By connecting to the main i mean connecting it to the Power source. You should ensure that while resetting the Kindle it is not connected with the power source. If resetting didn't work then you need to do the Hard reset to factory settings. If you have Kindle touch, Hold the Power button for 1 minute and for Kindle fire, pull the switch to the right for 1 minute. It is a known issue with Kindle users. If the solutions above didn't solve the problem then it is recommended that you should contact Amazon Kindle support directly to replace your unit. Here's the contact information:
