Hi, It could be a clog in your drain or could be a defective part on the washers drain pump. Have you checked for any debris that could cause the issue and may I know the model number of your dishwasher please? You can type in your message on the message box and click on the blue Send Response button to send your message. Thank you.

To check and fix drain issues, we need to check the inside first. Please pull out the racks and check inside the dishwasher. Can you also tell me which among the pictures below is similar to the inside of your dishwasher please? This would help us in isolating the problem easily.

Thank you for replying. The first thing that we need to do is to check for debris on the screen filter found inside the washer. Are you near the washer now?

no debris found on screen

If there are no debris on the screen the drain pump may be clogged or blocked. First try to check if the basin where the filter is has some debris and check the drain holes if they are clogged and the sensor is clean and clear oposite to the sensor (not beside the sensor) is the drain hole. This may have labels or plastics stuck in it. Let me know if its clear and clean.

Heres the sensor:

Heres the Drain Hole that leads to the drain pump:

Let me know if they have been checked.

May I also know if you have a garbage disposer installed? If the garbage disposer wasn't replaced recently, it is possible that the disposer is clogged. Remove the dishwasher drain hose from the disposer and clean out both the fitting on the disposer and the end of the drain hose. These are the most common places to find an obstruction if the dishwasher won't drain. Let me know. Thanks.

The drain hose might be clogged from the hose garbage disposer or the dishwasher end. To unclog the drain hose, remove the drain hose from both the dishwasher and the sink drain and clean it out. The drain hose is most commonly clogged near the garbage disposer or dishwasher drain branch tailpiece. To remove the drain hose from the dishwasher open the bottom cover by removing the screws holding down the bottom cover of the dishwasher.

NOTE: Make sure that you unplug the dishwasher or switch off breaker if its hardwired to avoid electrical accidents.

You can remove the hose from the washer by pinching the 2 metal clips together (pointed by arrows on the picture) and releasing the rubber black elbow.

NOTE: make sure you have drained as much water from the basin wher the drain hole and sensor is since its gonna spill out water after removing and checking the hose. You can use towel to absorb the water to minimize spilling.

Once the hose is removed you should be able to see the impeller inside the washers drain pump were the hose was connected. Try to spin it by sticking your finger inside the hole. If its stuck, it might be stuck with a debry or something which you would need to take it off to clear it out. Please do let me know  if the problem has been resolved after doing the steps. I will be waiting for your response. Thanks.
