Dear Bert, It was a pleasure helping you with your GE issue today. Here is a summary of the resolution.
Issue identified : cx not getting power on the GE dryer
Solution Implemented : called cx and told him to perform a quick reset on the unit by unplugging it from the wall outlet for 2 mins. cx unplugged the unit and plugged it back in to the outlet after 2 mins. still no power. told if he has a multimeter to test the wall outlet.cx dont have a multimeter and not familiar with electric troubleshooting. The socket is a special 3 prong socket and we cannot plug in any appliances there to test if there is a power on the socket. Told cx he needs to look for electrician in his area to test the socket. Told cx if the socket is working fine then the problem is the control board of the dryer and needs to be replaced. cx understood and will look for electrician to test the wall outlet. Answer accepted.
If issue resurfaces in next 30 days, come back to this Question page and let me know. If you are unable to find your way back to this Question page, please contact our customer support either by email (s**t@experthelp.com) OR call us at ***-***-****
