Own a Mazda 2 -2008 Model with 32,000 Klm Has an intermittent fault of the engine running roughly when idling whilst stationary at traffic lights. Recently had the airflow meter replaced with a second hand unit, which hasn't resolved the problem. Spark plugs , platinum tipped been replaced and Ignition Coils have been removed and bench tested. Mostly used doing short trips and has been serviced at the prescribed intervals.

Hi Annear! Thank you for choosing ExpertHelp.com. Did the mechanic check your vehicle to see if there is any vacum leak? Since most of the think needs to be replace already done what I can suggest you is to advise your mechanic for any vacum leak  because this also can cause a rough idle and sometimes cause engine misfire. And also advise the mechanic to check your fuel injectors it might be dirty or one of the injectors is not working properly. When your ready, please type your responses on this page and then click on the Blue Send Response button to post your response. I will be standing by for your response.

I was thinking it maybe dirty injectors and have been adding injector cleaner each time the car is filled with petrol for the last 5 tank fulls.

The car was last serviced by the Mazda Dealer June 2018 and the problem was logged with them but they supposedly checked various aspects of the engines operation but could not find the problem.
