Can you please share with me the link to your Facebook page that I may troubleshoot for you please?

Posted
Customer

Hey Charles. How about in 15 minutes?

That's difficult, given both sales are now deleted and you need to be a member to view that particular page.

Yes sir this will be fine.  I am sorry to have kept you waiting so long?

Posted
Customer

OK

Are you starting over and rebuilding the pages?

Posted
Customer

Let me clarify for you exactly what's happening.

Sure.

I sell Vintage Hot Wheels toy cars on a particular Hot Wheels page. I've done this for 2 years without issues. On Sunday 3/31, I went to launch a sale. My sales consists of text with description of each car and a price. I add in a link that contains photos of each car so buyers can view what they want to purchase. So I launched my sale on Sunday and basically it crashed in about 15-20 seconds. When I say crashed, potential buyers could NOT post sold or comment. Thinking it was just an momentary issue, I deleted and relaunched it an hour later. Same issue. THEN last night, 4/1, I tried to launch the sale with the same result.

Posted
Customer

I'm thinking it's a Facebook issue and I reported it, but no one can answer you from there and I can't pull up a similar issue on any of their forums or community pages.

Would the sale just get taken down where you could not see it.  Also, when you post the sale, did you run a small ad to advertise the sale?

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

May I have a link to your page so I can see the page itself?

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

Or I will try to search for it?

Posted
Customer

No. It was not taken down like they shut it down. It stayed up and just wouldn't function normally. To your 2nd question, NO ads were run.

Posted
Customer

What "page"? The one I sell on?

Yes please?

Here's the link, but again you might need to be a member to view. https://www.facebook.com/groups/ ***-***-**** 87397/

IM sorry I thought this was a page that you greated yourself.  This is a group that someone else created.  I am sorry about this.

Posted

Yep.

One of the admistrators of the group keeps taking the ad down.

Posted
Charles Totherow

For some reason they keep taking it down.

Posted
Customer

Sorry?

Posted
Charles Totherow

One of the people that runs this group called a admin keeps taking the ad down when you post.

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

I have just joined the group myself to see what the probme is through my Facebook page.

Posted
Customer

How do you know this?

Posted
Customer

I am close friends with the owner and Moderators of that group.

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

The admins control the page because they are the ones who built the page and also on the front of the page thier are two people listed as admins.

Posted
Customer

It might take some time for you to get approved.

The page says Pete and Woody are admins.

Posted

They are my close, personal friends for almost 30 years.

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

Have you tried to message them and ask them why they keep taking your post down?

Posted
Customer

I guarantee you they aren't.

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

This has to be a Facebok glitch if they are not taking the posts down.

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

Or someone has maybe gained control of the page without thier knowning.

Posted
Customer

They aren't. We are great friends. That's one of the reasons I sell there.

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

Since you know them really well, can you call them and ask them if they are having any trouble witht he page or tell them what is happing with your post

Posted
Customer

I can, it just so happens they are at a Hot Wheels Convention this week in Chicago.

Posted
Charles Totherow

Yes please call them and explin what is happening to your post and ask them if they are taking the post down which I am sure that they are not.

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

Have you noticeany else post being taken down?

Posted
Customer

Once again, I am removing the sales, after they freeze.

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

Can you have the admin get onto the page while you post and let them see what is happening?

Posted
Customer

I think we need to clarify "taken down". It's that the sale can stay up, but only some people can participate in the first few moments or minutes, then it doesn't function. No one is taking them down or deleting them so to speak. Only me after they stop functioning.

Posted
Customer

Right now (this week) it will be difficult for 2 reasons. 1-They are at the convention. 2-Everytime I list a sale and folks can't participate due to malfunction, I alienate buyers.

Posted
Charles Totherow

This has to be a software glitch on Facebook part then

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

I need to make a group and i add you and we test out the funtion.  MAy I do this please?

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

Thsi will be just a test group to see if this is a glitch on Facebooks part?

Posted
Customer

Who would see it?

Posted
Charles Totherow

Just me at the moment.  This is just for testing purposes.

Posted

Is this ok if we try this?

Posted

Its the only way to know for sure?

Posted
Customer

I guess we could. For the record, I just posted another SMALL sale about an hour ago on another page. It's functioning, but has bugs. 2 people were about to post sold, but their comments would only post if you hit reload.

Posted
Charles Totherow

Let me make a temp page and see if everything works correctly.  Only take me a few minutes?

Posted
Charles Totherow

Please sir?

I'm not sure you're understanding me or I'm not following you. It will stay up, but the question is can buyers post on it.

Posted
Charles Totherow

The post also had the message seller button as well

Posted
Customer

That's the way it should work. So maybe we have a Facebook glitch? I've had other friends have similar issues in the past 3-5 days too.

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

yes htis has to be a Facebook glitch or maybe even someone has hacked thier group.  I have seen this happen before many times.

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

Or someone has gained access to thier group without thier knowledge?

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

As admins

Posted
Customer

Is that a common thing?

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

Not usually?

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

I would call the admins back and tell them that this is going on and they arethe ones who will have to change passwords to thier accounts and keeo unwanted people out?

Posted
Customer

The other friends I just mentioned, had their issues on different pages than the one I use.

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

Thsi could be just a Facebook glitch as well

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

I think more along the lines of of just a glitch on Facebooks part.

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

I am sure they are well aware of this issue since many people have reported.

Posted
Customer

All right. I am probably going to wait until the weekend to try again. Maybe it will go away by then. If it continues, how long do I have with your company here?

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

I would call the admins anyway and make them aware of this issue.

Posted
Charles Totherow
Facebook Expert

You have 30 days for continue followup care.

Posted
Customer

OK. Just speaking with another friend, where he listed a sale on another page and it was "rejected" by Facebook as Violating Commerce Policy and it wasn't, then showed up in his "Items For Sale", but no one could see it.

Posted
Charles Totherow

This has to be a Facebbok glitch then for sure?

Dear John, It was a pleasure helping you with your Facebook issue today. Here is a summary of the resolution.

Issue identified : Customer's posts were getting shutdown in a particular Facebook group only after a few minutes.

Solution Implemented : I created a sample Facebook group from my Facebook account.  We tested this issue by customer posting a item for sale on my Facebook group page in which I was the only admin.  We waited for 10 minutes to make sure the post was not going auto taken down.  The post stayed and I advised customer that this is more than likely a Facebook glitch and also to advise the admins of the group he is posting to about this issue.  I advised customer that he will have 30 days of follow up support for this issue and can contact me directly.

If issue resurfaces in next 30 days, come back to this Question page and let me know. If you are unable to find your way back to this Question page or if you have billing questions, please contact our customer support either by email (s**t@experthelp.com) OR call us at ***-***-****
