Is it possible to copy a passage from a Kindle book and text or email it to a friend? If so, how is this accomplished?

Copy/paste can be done on a kindle fire device. Are you using a kindle fire?

If you are using a kindle fire device. Here's the steps.

Long press the first word of the text you want to copy.

Then drag the markers to highlight the text you want to copy. Then tap it one time.

You’ll see a small message come up letting you know the text has been copied to the clipboard.

To paste the text, long press a text field in an app or document on your Kindle Fire. Here I’m pasting the text I copied to an email. The Edit Text screen comes up. Tap Paste.

There you go. The text you copied is pasted into the field you selected.

Issue identified : cx want to do a copy paste on the kindle device
Solution Implemented : called cx and found out that he is using kindle touch which is not applicable for the copy paste. cx mentioned that he have an iphone and ipad that has kindle app installed. told cx that he can use the kindle app for the copy paste and just follow the same procedure below. cx understood and said that he can take it from here. answer accepted.
