May I have the model number of the receiver?

Please shut down the cable box and Yamaha. Unplug them both from AC power for 5 minutes. During this time disconnect and reconnect the HDMI cable from both devices. Then plug in the cable box and the receiver. Turn on and let it reboot. Then power on the Yamaha. This in most cases resets the Decoder OFF warning on Yamaha units.

Dear Sedgwick , It was a pleasure helping you with your Yamaha issue . Here is a summary of the resolution.


Issue identified :  Customer was getting decoder off error message on Yamaha receiver


Solution Implemented : Called customer.  Had customer unplug cable box for 5 minutes and plug back in.  Customer is now getting sound from cable to to receiver.
