Try these steps please.

  1. In order to switch off the tablet hold down the Power key for a short while.
  2. After that, press and hold together Volume Up + Home + Power buttonfor a few seconds.
  3. You may release held keys when the Samsung Logo appears on the screen.
  4. Select "wipe data / factory reset" by using Volume buttons to navigate and Power button to confirm.

Samsung logo didn't come up, but got Warning message " A custom.OS can cause critical problems in device and installed options.  If you want to download a custom OS, press the volume key up. Otherwise, press volume down key to cancel."

You want to press VOLUME UP, power and home buttons. Hold until you see Samsung then release. You are booting up in download mode by mistake.

I've done it and gotten the Samsung logo, and then the word Nook in the middle, then a blank screen. No wipe days or factory screen options

My problem is that the storage is full, but SD card is barely used.  I've already deleted cached data.

This usually happends when ebooks fill up the storage.  Please go through all the ebooks you  currently have any delete some of them to free up storage.
